" My Father's name was Laird "

He was the kind of man who made a room feel different the moment he walked into it. Hard-working. A little rebellious, in the best way. Always, unmistakably, himself.

He passed away in 2021, and I still find myself learning things he taught me without ever meaning to teach them.

Our last Father's Day together, we went to the driving range. Nothing more than that. Just the two of us, hitting balls, no real plan beyond being there.

He was so happy that day,  not because of anything special happening, just because we were both there, doing something simple, together.

My grandfather was full of love, and stubborn as hell. He was my best friend growing up.

Everything we did together turned into an adventure, visiting his mates, a round at the course, two years of chipping practice at the driving range, just because and the countless Toasted Cheese's. He loved spending time with me.

He had one rule above everything else: Respect. The game. The course. Each other. He loved golf. He loved nature. He loved his family. And he loved his grandson.

I'm still trying to carry that forward.

The Acacia, our symbol of legacy, resilience, and growth. It's three branches represent Grandfather, Father, and Son, forever connected through family, golf, and the values we carry forward.

We honour the past.
We embrace the journey.
We protect what matters.
We carry it forward.
